Our drama group is open to all abilities and levels of experience. Directed by a professional drama practitioner and supported by a dedicated team of volunteers, participants are encouraged to work hard and have fun creating plays.

Members develop improvisation skills, learn to animate the body or voice through imaginative group exercises, and help to devise productions for public performance. The group’s productions come alive with the use of costume, props and sets.

Community Focus regularly organise trips to see professional theatre productions, and drama participants have recently collaborated on a project with Barnet College’s Performing Arts students based within the artsdepot.

Members of Community Focus drama group have performed at Jackson’s Lane Theatre as part of the Disability Arts Festival, at All Saints Arts Centre in Whetstone and in the artsdepot’s Studio Theatre.
