CF and Barnet College Project
Following on from the success of last
year's project, Barnet College students
and Community Focus members are
preparing to showcase a brand new drama
production in the artsdepot studio theatre.
The project will allow students to gain
experience of working with a community
group, leading workshops through
improvisation, experimentation and story-
telling. See the results of this partnership
unfold on the professional stage of
artsdepot’s studio theatre.

London Councils Paralympics Project
Community Focus worked with a group of young people on an animation project addressing the Paralympics and the Cultural Olympiad, funded by London Councils. They worked with a professional animator and created a short stop frame animation film.
The short film was showcased along with three other animations created by young people from Queen Elizabeth
Girls School in Barnet, Broomfield School in Enfield and George Mitchell Community School in Walthamstow; at the Phoenix Cinema in East Finchley.

Drumming Project
Community Focus ran drumming projects in each of Barnet’s 4 special schools, Mapledown, Northway, Oak Lodge and Oakleigh. CF’s tutors engaged children and young people aged 3-18 years with disabilities in group musical activities. Working with African Djembe drums they developed their confidence and social skills, through voice, improvisation and fun exercises.
